But no one seems to have seen it.Three conmen in Pudukottai in Tamil Nadu tried to make some quick bucks by selling such a stone ‘worth Rs 1,000 crore.’They demonstrated the power of the stone to the ‘potential buyers’ Two shoe flower buds bloomed in just a few seconds when they were kept near the stone. However, another miracle happened faster than the blooming of the flower – the ‘potential buyers’ revealed their true identity to the conmen. They were none other than sleuths of the Organised Crime Intelligence Unit (OCIU) from Chennai and Trichy. Also it didn’t take much time before the conmen landed in jail.Based on a tip, OCIU sleuths tracked the conmen –Karuppaiah, 45, Manikandan, 48 and Murugan, 52 of Udaiyalipatti village near Pudukottai. They laid a trap to nab the suspects. They sent decoys posing as buyers. The claimed the stone was worth Rs 1,000 crore. However, they agreed to sell it for Rs 300 crore.
